Completed in 1869, Centenary United Methodist Church is still active.  In addition to Sunday morning worship at 11:00 a.m. and being the home of The Bridge Sunday evening through Friday afternoon, it is also the site of weddings, meetings and award dinners.

The sanctuary, with its arched ceiling of rich wood beams, beautiful stained glass windows and majestic pipe organ, is a wonderful setting for both weddings and other large gatherings.  In the spring of 2010, Centenary UMC hosted the international convention of the United Methodist Women, during which 1200 people filled the pews for the confirmation of new elders.  In 2009, the St. Louis chapter of the American Guild of Organists held their annual recognition event here; dinner in the Anchor Room followed by music in the sanctuary.

The Anchor Room, a large multi-purpose room, can be set with rows of chairs and a projector for a formal presentation; arranged for a casual luncheon; or configured with tables to one side and a dance floor on the other for wedding receptions and other celebrations.  Located at 1610 Olive Street, just three blocks north of Market and a couple blocks west of the main library, the church is convenient to businesses downtown and is easily reached via Interstates 44, 55, 64 and 70 by those traveling from outside the city.
