Your Donation Means Even More During the Feinstein Challenge

In the photo above, Pastor Kathleen Wilder chats with the recipient of the 500,000th meal served at The Bridge on November 28, 2010, five years after the very first meal was served.  In the spring of this year, The Bridge will serve its 750,000th meal.  The speed with which this milestone was reached shows that, for many residents of downtown, the dining room at The Bridge is their primary source of meals.

From March 1 to April 30, all donations of food and money to The Bridge will qualify for the Feinstein Challenge.  Now in its 15th year, this program, made possible by Alan Shawn Feinstein, has become the largest grass-roots campaign ever to fight hunger in the United States.  $1 million will be divided among anti-hunger agencies, proportionate to the amount of donations received.  In other words, the more donations to The Bridge, the more of the $1 million we get, making your donation worth even more!

Please remember that, in order to qualify for the additional funds, your contribution must be made between March 1 and April 30.  Donations of food may be delivered directly to the kitchen at The Bridge Monday through Thursday, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., and on Friday, until 2:00 p.m.  If you would like to donate via check, please make it payable to The Bridge, with Feinstein Challenge in the memo line.  Mail to:  The Bridge, 1610 Olive St., St. Louis, MO  63103.

Thank you for supporting The Bridge during this very special time.
